The KMD Graduate Program

As Graduate in KMD, you hold a business-critical position throughout the program. There will be an additional focus on your development through planning of your tasks, participation in a network where you get to work on real life cases and individual planning of your training. You are exposed to real life IT- and business problems, and you work hands-on to create solutions, solve issues and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally.

The 18-month long graduate program offers an excellent opportunity to move out of your comfort zone and fast-track your personal and professional development. You will be part of an engaged graduate community where we have fun, and where you get a great opportunity to network with your peers.

As a Graduate you will be given a mentor and assigned a buddy, who will support your development, introduce you to the KMD culture and ensure that you get the necessary training and introduction to the department.

In this position

Are you passionate about working with cloud technology, secure your code and development? Can you imagine experimenting in the field between IT, Business, Security, Development and Operations?  Then this position as Cloud Security Engineer Graduate may be for you? As Cloud Security Engineer in KMD your most important task is to provide efficient and adoptable security solutions to KMDs different business units and to our colleagues.

Some of your daily work will be to join your teammates in the tasks of:

  • Implementing Azure Cloud Security measures and features by code
  • Participating as Security Advisor and contributor in DevOps projects
  • Driving Cloud Security development in line with the growing needs of stakeholders
  • Engaging Developers and provide security solutions to CICD pipelines
  • Proactively ensuring governance in the Cloud security area and that we are GDPR compliant

You will be working with the software methodology DevOps that looks to integrate all the software development functions from development to operations within the same cycle. Communication and a high level of coordination will be a daily part of your job. You will also get a deep knowledge of the Microsoft Azure security concepts and products, the Cloud Adoption Framework (Caf) and the Well-Architected framework - which will be a cornerstone in our future Technology Stack.

This is what you will learn

In this program, you will learn how to help and support the various stakeholders in all parts of the DevOps software process: plan, code, build, test, release, deploy, operate and monitor. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying security operationel requirements 
  • Security guidance for the developers on how to build security into their practices and Deployment pipelines
  • Providing Azure DevOps pipeline security templates and measurements
  • Providing security valid blueprints for infrastructure and automation of security and compliance needs.
  • Contributing to Azure Active Directory Security
  • Contributing Azure Platform Security and Enterprise-scale landing zones (Caf) 
  • Configurating by scripting in PowerShell or other scripting language
  • Contribute to the use of Terraform/ARM/PowerShell for automation and consistency
  • Securing best-practice recommendations and participate in roadmaps
  • Developing and maintaining security and compliance by code
  • Provide valid documentation in Wiki and code where needed

The program will consist of “on the job training” and you will be expected to attend courses to obtain the relevant certifications, that is needed to be successful in the role as Cloud Security Engineer Graduate. 

The team

You will join a strong network of dedicated individuals within the business unit of Research & Development. You will be part of a team with 13 creative, inventive, and highly driven colleagues at different locations in Denmark – Ballerup, Odense, Aalborg and Århus and from our Warsaw office.

We are looking for talented and ambitious candidates who hold a relevant technical education (in Danish: Professions Bachelor, e.g. “softwareteknologi or Erhvervsakademisk Uddannelse, e.g. “datamatiker”, “datafagtekniker”, “IT-teknolog” or “IT-arkitektur”).

  • You are passionate and curious around IT and Cloud technology, with an aim to achieve the best solution while presenting a high level of interest, engagement, and enthusiasm 
  • You have a ‘Can Do’ attitude and work to challenge status quo by generating new ideas and solutions to improve work 
  • You have excellent communication skills in both English and Danish  
  • You are outgoing and not afraid to communicate with directors as well as technicians
  • You are eager to learn and work with DevOps/Scrum/Agile and automation where possible

The recruitment process

After reviewing the applications, we will invite the best qualified candidates for a 1st interview between week 19 and 21. As a part of the recruitment process, you will also be asked to conduct a cognitive assessment. After the case days, second interview will be conducted.
