You will become part of a dynamic, skilled and dedicated team of 60 highly skilled software engineers, software testers, software architects and project managers developing market leading software for our wind turbines.

How to contribute to our vision

As a software developer on our team, you will be developing the embedded software that controls the wind turbine during operation. Every day you will be in close interplay with team members and internal stakeholders coming from all over the world. The job responsibilities as developer evolve around the full software development process from specifying and implementing to testing. This includes but not limited to:

  • Programming control software in C++ for a Linux like operating system.
  • Specifying requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders from other departments.
  • Testing the software - this includes unit testing, component testing and acceptance testing.
  • Defect fixing and refactoring of existing source code.
  • Ensure code quality and go beyond secure-coding best practices
  • Occasionally participate in innovation initiatives like code camps and ideation contests.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.

The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or similar in combination with solid experience in C++, Linux and embedded control mechanisms.

You have knowledge of OO-design patterns and experience with software testing as well as being familiar with concepts like unit tests, test automation and continuous integration. It will be an advantage if you are accustomed with concepts such as Agile, SCRUM, SAFe, Kanban, Jira as well as having experience with versioning systems like GIT or Mercurial.

Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results. You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
