Because in Nuuday, we want to use technology to create a better life for people, more efficient ways of working for organizations and a more inclusive society.
About the role
We now have an opening for a data engineer in the Entertainment Tribe, which is part of the YouSee brand.
We are looking for a capable data engineer with the skills to coordinate data warehousing, big data, and ETL projects as a designer or architect. You will become part of our existing in-house data team already working on extracting and analyzing data from our various platforms and services.
Your role in the team will be to:
- Design data warehouse and data lake architecture/monitoring
- Collect and validate event data from relevant internal services (including API connections)
- Implement operational data processes and pipelines
- Enable advanced analytics and ensure that product feature tracking is correctly implemented and accurately tracked.
In short, we want you to create and monitor the foundation of how we structure our data, using AWS/Azure, and continuously refine our data processes.
You have comprehensive knowledge and experience with general data warehousing concepts and issues. Including supporting Machine Learning, Business Intelligence and preferably broadcasting/streaming. We imagine you have a solid background in data modelling, data governance and developing ETL-flow, combined with extensive capabilities using SQL, Python and possibly Spark.
You are a good problem solver with organizational, decision-making skills, combined with the ability to engage with end users, and stakeholders in our organization. You pay attention to details, you are structured, but also focused on progress, and customer value. You are approachable, vigorous, motivated, and able to function in an informal environment with a flat hierarchy and jovial culture. Finally, you are eager to learn, and to teach others.
Ideally you to have 3-4 years of experience as a data engineer, but less experienced candidates should not refrain from applying if you match most of the above characteristics.
The Entertainment Tribe is responsible for developing and operating Nuuday’s TV products and services. Our customers are both private, organized, and business to business customers. Within the tribe, you’ll be a part of our Data & Analytics Team, which is focused on assuring data quality, and extracting, storing, and analyzing the data our various TV platforms and services provide.
As a tribe we are all about making sure our customers have the best TV and Video-On-Demand streaming experience, and as a data and analytics team we work to make sure that our colleagues have access to the best available data to develop and operate our platforms and services.
What can we offer?
- An attractive compensation and health insurance
- An international environment filled with awesome colleagues, where you can experiment, and further your professional knowledge
- An attractive social environment, that among many things includes social events, sports activities, and an on-premises fitness center
- Free parking at work location
