Are you passionate about data? Do you dream of a job in which you can clearly see the value you create for your colleagues every day? And are you eager to challenge the status quo? Then you might be our new colleague to join our ambitious team of Data Engineers.

Join the quest to become the leading data-driven energy trading company

Danske Commodities (DC) is an energy trading company. Every day, we complete more than 8,500 trades across 39 countries, constantly moving energy from where there is more than needed to where it is needed most. Our business model is heavily reliant on data, making your role crucial for our business. To be more specific, in our Data Engineering team, we empower business users, data scientists and data analysts to discover, explore and analyse relevant data. Today, we leverage our proprietary data platforms, from which we deliver fast and efficient data services to support the entire trading value chain and ensure the best possible foundation for data-driven decision-making.

Join a curious and social team with high data ambitions

You will be part of a team of data engineers who like to challenge themselves and each other, which is reflected in our close collaboration and professional development. We like to explore new ideas and continuously expand our technical horizon within the data engineering domain. We are curious, love data and are driven by a fast-paced environment. You will experience a culture which is characterised by having fun and working hard while reaching our goals as a team.

Be part of shaping our advanced risk management platform

The ideal candidate for this position can have various backgrounds. We imagine you either have experience from risk management and would like to develop your technical skillset, or maybe you are an already skilled data engineer eager to bring your experience into play within the risk management space. The crucial common denominator is that you are passionate about extracting knowledge from data.

No matter your background, we will ensure you get a thorough onboarding. Starting out, you will get an introduction to the data engineering team, your role and our data platforms, which are primarily built on Microsoft SQL technologies. On the longer term, you will focus your efforts on risk management activities and work closely with quantitative analysts and risk managers to further develop our internal risk management platform.
