The Turbine Control department is an integral part of the Siemens Gamesa Offshore Technology organization that forms the core of our technological leadership. We continuously aim to be the best in class, and we are looking for a software release manager for our team in Brande or alternatively Skovlunde.
The Turbine Control department consists of 30 dedicated engineers in Brande and Skovlunde, Denmark. We deliver competitive and high-quality control solutions that optimize the annual energy production of our offshore wind turbines without compromising the structural integrity and operational constraints in the sub-systems. Our team plays a decisive part from the initial ideation of new control concepts to the final type certification of the solutions and new products. In order to do so, we develop and maintain our advanced inhouse model-based control development framework and the toolchains that support it.
How to contribute to our vision
For our Functionality Development team in the Turbine Control department, we are looking for an experienced Software Release Manager for coordinating deliverables from the Turbine Control team for the quarterly software releases.
Specifically, you will:
- Manage the interface and coordination between the Turbine Control team and the Software Department.
- Ensure that auto-generated code (based on Simulink models) and the associated documentation are delivered on time and at the right quality.
- Ensure that software release procedures are maintained and further developed to meet new requirements.
- Ensure that procedures related to the software release process are followed by the Turbine Control team.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.
The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, Software Engineering, IT or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with
- Software product management of software development projects (e.g. Product Owner, SCRUM Master, Epic Owner or similar).
- Developing control software - experience with Model-Based Design (Simulink) is a significant advantage.
- Code quality and code testing
- Agile software development in a CI/CD environment (Azure, SCRUM/SAFe...)
