Solution Architect

We are looking for a Solution Architect with a strong focus on EDI, Lasernet and Document Management, to our IT department in HQ in Ebeltoft, with start up as soon as possible.

Our IT department is an agile team of 8 people with diverse competencies, working in our offices in both Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands.

In IT we continuously develop and maintain our growing infrastructure. With a strong alignment to other technical departments in Kvadrat, we make sure the foundation and toolset we create, enables scalability and resilience on a global scale.

We also work closely with a selection of partners to ensure 24/7 uptime, where we have outsourced part of our regular IT support and development needs.

About the job  

Your primary focus will be implementing and managing EDI, Lasernet and the surrounding technologies to drive Document Management and EDI in Kvadrat and supporting the ongoing digitalization and automation of our global business.

As a Solution Architect you are responsible for scoping and selecting the correct partners and technologies, to implement and drive a scalable and robust EDI & Document Management solution.

You are involved in the full process covering design, implementation, and maintenance of a company-wide EDI setup for interacting with customers, vendors, warehouses, etc.

Further you utilize EDI, Lasernet and other relevant technologies like API to automate and optimize both internal and external processes.

You will be responsible for managing these projects and creating a strong link between Business and IT.

In this position you will also work closely with different global business units in Kvadrat, understanding their business needs and transforming them into simple technological solutions. collaborate closely with our other technology departments, to help ensure a scalable and robust infrastructure, that drives our digital agenda.

Your key tasks will be:

  • Scoping, implementing, and maintaining the next generation of EDI & Document Management in Kvadrat
  • Continuously develop and maintain our critical Lasernet setup
  • Assist customers, vendors, and other internal/external partners, in planning, testing, and implementing our EDI solutions
  • Expand on opportunities to increase the use of EDI and Automation throughout the organization

You can expect about 20 days of travel per year in this position.

Qualifications and competencies  

We imagine you have a higher education such as, IT-Architect, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or other relevant education. You must have two years of experience with managing complex projects, and with development, implementation, and operation of EDI & Document Management.

The right candidate has the following competences:

  • Strong knowledge in a variety of EDI concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding and transforming business needs into simple technical solutions.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Danish, including strong technical communication skills in both.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge about and experience with Dynamics 365
  • Knowledge about supply chain management

As a person you have a structured approach to your tasks, can work in teams both small and globally, but also be able to work independent and set a direction yourself. You keep a cool head when dealing with many ongoing processes at the same time.
