Software Developer, 3D Printing

For our client Stratasys in central Copenhagen, we are looking for an enthusiastic and clever Software Developer.

The team in Copenhagen is part of the global 3D giant Stratasys and responsible for a brand-new series of 3D printers with the ambition of moving 3D print from prototyping into production. You will play a key role in the software team developing a high-speed 3D printer based on world-leading piezoelectric drop-on-demand inkjet technologies.

You will be involved in the core 3D printing engine, optimizing and extending the capabilities of the machine, as well as developing tools and features to assist other teams like R&D and customer support.

Examples on tasks you may become responsible for::

  • Modifying printer sequencing engine to explore various R&D scenarios
  • Optimizing printer throughput, shaving off some milliseconds here and there
  • Analyzing thermal images to detect any anomalies
  • Enhancing the printer's self-diagnostics capabilities
  • Extending the 3D printer's configuration framework
  • Compliance with various security standards

On a daily basis, you will work closely with software and hardware engineers in Stratasys Copenhagen to design a reliable machine and a seamless user experience.

Your qualifications

You have an M.Sc. or equivalent in Software development, Computer Science or similar. Furthermore, you have some years of professional experience with larger software systems and are able to reason about design and architectural options.

We expect that you have solid experience in C++ and python programming, Linux, object-oriented design and development. You know the importance of a clear design as well as clean testable code.

It will be an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience in some of the following:

  • ROS (Robot Operating System)
  • Hardware control: sensors, actuators, cameras
  • Automated test systems, continuous delivery (e.g. unit testing, system testing, Jenkins, Docker)
  • Linux system configuration and management
  • Machine leaning
  • Security standards and protocols
  • Databases
  • git source control

You are driven and passionate about what you do. You give excellent attention to detail, whilst still having an appreciation for the bigger picture. You have good analytical skills and are able to discuss your own work and the work of others with a constructive and open mindset.

Working as part of an international company, you will need to be fluent in written and spoken technical English.
