Meet your new department

Joining us at our HQ in Hedehusene, you will lead a department dedicated to IT process excellence, IT processes development and IT governance. The department currently consists of approximately 20 people, with most of them, including 2 managers, residing in Denmark and the rest in Poland. 

Together, they are responsible for everything from IT service, process and change management to disaster recovery for Global IT. With continuous growth and regular acquisitions across DSV, the teams are always working to stay ahead of changes and secure IT excellence across new divisions.

Go far beyond KPI’s

As a director, it is up to you to secure IT excellence and ensure that all IT processes are governed according to industry and company standards. 

To do so, you will go way beyond just discussing performance data and instead take a very hands-on approach to management. Although your teams and managers are very independent and efficient on a daily basis, they enjoy collaboration and thrive with close, personal management to reach excellence – together. 

As such, you can expect to join in on both formal and informal communication with your teams and get up close with their many projects lying ahead. This includes:

  • The implementation of frameworks for process excellence in IT projects, including Agile methodologies in software development and configuration
  • Improvement of the current framework for process excellence in IT operations, including incident management, request management, change management, user support, disaster recovery test, etc.
  • Maintenance and improvement of an IT governance framework where IT policies and IT documentation are up to date and easily accessible for all employees
  • Taking our well-established disaster recovery framework to a new level
  • Maintenance and improvement of the current KPI & operational reporting framework for Global IT

Excellent leader with a heart for people and IT

You thrive when communicating across functions and borders, and you love the idea of leading internationally while managing stakeholders from around the world. 

With your positive attitude, you prefer to lead through motivation and like to inspire rather than command.

Furthermore, it would be an advantage if you have experience with logistics, though it is not a must as long as you have substantial leadership and IT experience. We’re also looking for:

  • 3+ years of leadership experience, possibly as a line manager, project manager, programme manager, senior business consultant or similar
  • 3+ years of experience with business process management and improvement – specifically Lean would be a great advantage
  • 5+ years of experience with IT – knowledge of ITIL and IT service management as well as software development and methodologies like SAFe and Agile is a great plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, HR or industrial management
