We are looking for a Platform/system engineer ready to share and grow

We are responsible for the operation and management of the infrastructure platform for Danmarks Nationalbank's central banking systems. In addition, we are responsible for the management of a number of shared IT services on which Danmarks Nationalbank's services depend.

In the department, we have 23 employees with various roles linked to enterprise IT operations. We solve a wide range of tasks within operation, support, management and further development of the infrastructure platform. We all have great respect for working directly for and closely with Danmarks Nationalbank, as it provides some unique opportunities for insight and thus better solutions.

Primary tasks and responsibilities  

In the position as Platform/system engineer, you will work closely with your colleagues in the department as well as employees of Danmarks Nationalbank and our subcontractors.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:  

  • Along with the rest of the department, help to ensure stable operation of Danmarks Nationalbank's applications and that the agreed service goals are complied with.
  • Balancing between delivering stable operations and tasks in projects at the same time
  • Working in an operating environments include of Linux (RedHat), IBM MQ + IIB / ACE, Ansible, Bash shell scripts, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • The team is facing a migration from Mercurial HG and Nexus to Git and Artifactory, of which you will also be a part.

At times, there is a need to work from the customer's location in Copenhagen. The department has morning shifts from 05:30 to 08:00 and afternoon shifts from 16:00 to 18:30. Staffing of the guards is mutually agreed in the team.

Most of our service windows run during normal working hours, as the platform is designed for high availability. In the case of major production launches (typically 2 major releases per year) of application and integration changes, these are usually postponed to weekends.

We are looking for you who love to explore and learn! 

Preferably, you have an educational background within engineering or IT at bachelor's or master's level and five years of experience from a similar position working with IT Service Management; including practical experience with ITIL processes. Preferably supplemented with a certification, but the practical experience is most important.

Additionally we want you to:

  • Be passionate about high availability application operation in server environments, security and efficient system integration
  • Have a solid knowledge of configuration management such as SVN, Git, Gerrit and Jenkins
  • Be an expert in automation of operating and management routines, including build & deploy
  • Have worked with application lifecycle management.
