How to contribute to our vision

For our Power Plant Control team within the Offshore Technology business unit, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Senior Web Application Developer to strengthen and assure that we can continue to deliver a high-quality product.

The Power Plant Control department consists of 31 devoted engineers/software developers across Brande, Madrid and Bangalore. We develop control systems for renewable power plants, integrating control of wind turbines, batteries for energy storage and solar installations. The Power Plant Control system act as the electrical interface between the renewable Power Plant and grid operator in order to insure a stable and balanced electrical grid.

The Power Plant Control department is an integral part of the Siemens Gamesa Offshore Technology organization that forms the core of our technological leadership. We want to be the best in the business, and we are looking for someone can step into an existing team of 7 resources working with the front-end and application development.

Your responsibilities will cover:

As a Senior Web Application Developer in the PPC team, you will be part of a strong community developing the future front-end software solution for monitoring and controlling our wind farms globally. Tasks include

  • Improve, further develop and ensure a high quality of the Wind Farm Control frontend software
  • Development of new web based features in collaboration with back-end team
  • Contribute to system level UI and UX

What you need to make a difference      

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.  We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.

The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Web Design or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with

  • TypeScript / Angular IO / REST service based applications (JS and C# would be a plus)
  • Developing UI and UX
  • Automated test tools like Cypress
  • Code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, etc.
  • Agile principles (SCRUM/SAFe) and software management (JIRA/Jenkins) would be a plus

You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
