How to contribute to our vision

  • The TSD team have the responsibility of maintaining the configuration of turbine controller software in the entire fleet Siemens Gamesa is servicing.
  • In the team we are building turbine software configuration profiles for new Wind Park projects and updating the profiles for use with new software versions or features.
  • We analyze operating data and operation feedback to mitigate defects and to optimize the controller software. Giving the customers higher production output.
  • We perform deep dive troubleshooting on the embedded wind turbine controller and software.
  • We create software configuration update campaigns for the global wind turbine fleet and send software advises to our regional support teams regarding new software releases.
  • We cooperate with both software developers and control engineers regarding new controller strategies, bug fixing and new features.
  • To allow us to be able to handle the entire fleet within our own small team we also develop and maintain several internal software tools.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You have a desire to work together with a team of experts in a leading company in the wind turbine industry.
  • A possibly background could be a bachelor’s in software engineering, electric engineering or electronic engineering combined with a profound understanding of software and the connection between software and machine.
  • In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. It is a benefit if you have experience working with embedded software, preferably on wind turbine controllers.
  • You thrive with a sometimes-hectic work life and will do your best to service our customers and keep systems and turbines running but also value a healthy work/life balance.
  • You have well-developed analytical skills as well as a structured and detail-oriented approach to your work.
  • To thrive in our large international organization, it helps to be a dedicated team player, independent and a skilled communicator with good networking skills and excellent English skills, both orally and in writing.
