Join our friendly and fast-paced R&D Software Department at FOSS – an international company delivering complex instruments and world-class innovative solutions to the food and agriculture industries.

The R&D Software Department in FOSS comprises of more than 80 software engineers and constitutes about one third of the R&D organization in FOSS - and we keep expanding. Our development department is split into business segment teams and a platform team. The business segment teams deliver the SW for the end products, whereas the platform team controls and develops the common functionality and features for instruments.

The job

We are looking for you as a backend developer to work closely together with your colleagues in our instrument development team. Your core team will consist of other software developers, a tester and a Product Owner. Together, we follow an agile development process and welcome your contribution.

We value cooperation and take pride in having good team spirit, and we always consider how we can assist each other in reaching our goals of delivering high quality products.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Developing software (and making first verification)
  • Being part of designing the implemented solutions
  • Supporting our testers during validation
  • Troubleshooting and bug fixing
  • Following the agile processes
  • Participating in the daily teamwork

Your daily workplace will be at the FOSS Innovation Centre in Hillerød, Denmark.

Qualifications we need from you

We would love to see your application if you have the following qualifications:

  • Experienced software engineer or computer scientist
  • Experienced C# /.Net software engineer
  • Have a flair for troubleshooting
  • A genuine interest in instrument development
  • Strong knowledge of SW tool chain in a professional environment
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and scrum development processes
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (TFS)
