Our client, BioMar, offers a truly unique opportunity to utilise your skills in BI and data warehouse to create solutions that will transform how they work with data/BI – now and in the future. You will collaborate with stakeholders across departments and cultures while improving a dataware house set-up that will be implemented on a global scale.

The team

As the new Global Data Warehouse Consultant, you will be welcomed by your 7 new colleagues in the Data & AI team. The Data & AI team is a Group function in BioMar Group and cooperate with colleagues placed in various locations around the world as well as external consultants. You will be located at the Aarhus-based headquarters right next to Bruun's Gallery.

You will be working closely together with the BI Architect and your other colleagues, both in the Data & AI team, and in the rest of the BioMar organisation. The team’s responsibilities lie within Business Intelligence, Master Data Management and AI. The work is based on an agile set-up, and you will become part of an ambitious and professional group of colleagues with a warm, patient, and welcoming team spirit.

The position

In this position, you will become a key player in solving and monitoring business intelligence development tasks and projects. Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure high standards are met in development of new Global BI solutions through ongoing quality reviews of data models and in the role as sparring partner for the BI developers
• Act as sparring partner to the BI Architect and provide advice for your colleagues to ensure a data warehouse of high quality
• Being responsible for processes and standards related to deployment and ensuring that ETL and BI standards and procedures are defined and followed
• Trouble shoot and do root-cause analysis on potential BI issues
• Conduct different clarifications and tasks in collaboration with the BI architect related to the BI platform
• Extract data from data sources and include new data into the Azure SQL data warehouse
• Contribute as BI developer on selected BI projects in collaboration with business representatives and BI colleagues

Your profile

As a person, you are passionate about data and Business Intelligence, and preferable you have experience from a global enterprise Business Intelligence department in a manufacturing company.

You have a positive energy, and you prefer to work in a caring team environment with a high activity level and ambitions of reaching business goals in close collaboration with the BioMar business.

You are motived by taking part in establishing a global Business Intelligence function, and you take pride in working according to best practice standards. Furthermore, you thrive when working in a diverse and multi-cultural organisation across departments and geographies.

You also like the professional challenge inherent in the job and have the drive needed to influence a data warehouse setup according to best-practice standards.

More formally, we expect that you:

• Have 2+ years of experience from a similar role
• Have experience from working in a global or central BI department serving different business units
• You preferably have experience from a manufacturing company
• Hold an academic degree within IT, computer science or similar
• You preferably have experience with Azure SQL DB and Tableau
• Master English fluently and preferably Spanish
