Microservice Cloud Developer

Luxion is the global leader of product design rendering software. Thousands of companies around the globe use Luxion’s main product, KeyShot, for a multitude of use cases. This includes creating photo-real visualizations of CAD drawings for marketing, evaluating materials and textures ahead of production, and providing interactive product visualizations and 3D animations for stakeholders across the design lifecycle. In short, they help companies make better design decisions faster.
Founded in 2003, Luxion has offices in Denmark and the US, and has a global footprint with a large portfolio of customers including Google, Microsoft, Louis Vuitton, Adidas, Rolex, Chrysler, and many more.
The Journey
You will join our Web & Cloud team, consisting of 7 team members, who deliver key services for our users and partners to extend our KeyShot rendering products. Our Web & Cloud services are key elements in our new business strategy and the team has large impact on the future roadmap. The Web & Cloud team is on a journey to become a full DevOps team with cross-functional skills and we recently expanded the team with a dedicated Product Owner, DevOps engineer and UX designer. Presently, we work with PHP, Typescript, JavaScript and Node.JS and we are now starting off making a microservice architecture in AWS, in which you will play a leading role, both on strategic and operational level.

The role
As our new Cloud Developer, you will contribute to developing our new state-of-the-art cloud-based services complementing our 3D rendering software products.
You will be part of a cross-functional and self-empowered scrum team in which you will:
- Design, develop, and implement microservices and help set the new company standard
- Improve and manage our growing ecosystem of microservices in AWS
- Perform code reviews of other team members work to ensure high quality and knowledge sharing
- Writing tests as part of development (unit, integration, functional)
- Participate in an agile team and be actively involved in the full software development life cycle
Your Profile
We are looking for several team members, so your profile background could be both extensive or less.
You have an educational background within IT or web development and have experience with:
- Experience in microservice development
- Experience developing RESTful APIs
- A passion for building highly testable, effective and maintainable applications
- Good communication and collaboration skills
A plus – but not a must:
- Experience with AWS Services – ideally Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, Dynamo
- Experience in event-driven and serverless design
- Experience with automated test
You are a team player who enjoys collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the team about improving software skills and deployment. You have a proactive quality-minded attitude and the ability to work systematically and confidently with new challenges. You are eager to extend your knowledge and grow to be a key member in developing our microservice architecture in AWS.
Our primary working language is English, and since our colleagues come from all over the world, it is vital that you speak and write English at professional efficiency.
