Embedded Software Developers
Would you like to be part of developing the secure remote access management platform that enable companies to connect, monitor and optimise industrial machines from anywhere around the globe?
For our client Secomea, we are looking for several experienced C/C++ developers to low-level programming of secure, high availability, network-oriented edge devices.
Secomea is headquartered in Herlev, Denmark, with offices in China, Japan and North America and has partnerships with a global network of distributors. They have dedicated themselves to helping businesses leverage the power of Industrial IoT. The company is on a mission to continue to elevate industry standards with a solution that exceeds international security requirements, focusing on scalability and ease of use.
As embedded software developer, you will be a key player in defining as well as developing the software platform for their next gen devices. Your great ideas will come into play while the platform is being refined. To go next gen, you must also understand and support our existing and very reliable platform installed at thousands of factories.
A good understanding of and attention to cybersecurity aspects of networking systems and protocols are mandatory.
More specifically, you need to be comfortable with these topics:
- C/C++ on a senior level
- General Linux competences at system admin level (primarily Debian)
- Networking in general with deep understanding of IP, TCP and UDP
- Developing towards Linux based embedded systems using C and script languages (Shell and Python)
- Boot loaders (U-Boot), serial console, peripheral equipment etc.
- Cryptography, X.509 certificates, CA, PKI, and RSA
- Security; secure by design but also development processes
At Secomea, they develop everything from hardware, firmware, and low-level kernel code to HTTP-based APIs and react front-ends. They do not expect employees to have experience in all their technologies and they may consider the right candidate with no experience in any of them but a solid record of accomplishment. If you have experience with most of the above technologies, that will, of course, be a plus.
If you find development of test elements and test equipment interesting, this could also be included in your tasks. This will also include tech support to their supplier abroad.
You can expect
They work in teams, so they hire for teams. They don’t only look at the skills you have but also at who you are. At Secomea, they believe that the right person for the right team is more important than the skill set you have right now. They expect each team to be able to drive the architecture of their solution within some guard rails.
Each team maintains its build and deployment pipeline, continuously improves its ways of working, and collaborates with other teams to improve the organisation. They value their colleagues and believe it should be interesting, meaningful, and fun to go to work, and they expect everyone to contribute to that.
The company is gradually moving towards continuous delivery of their applications, and it is important that you wish to support and enhance a culture of software craftsmanship best practices including test automation & continuous integration and delivery.
They try to create and maintain teams that their employees enjoy being a part of. You will therefore be expected to be an excellent teammate and adopt the Secomea spirit.
The entire company is driven by innovation and agile development, continuously pushing the limits of R&D in close cooperation with our technology partners and customers. They offer a career with flexibility, inclusivity, and a diverse and global work environment.
They rely on initiative and an open mindset, where your creativity and dedication come to use in an open and positive work atmosphere. As they are fast-growing and constantly expand the business, you will have plenty of chances to grow your responsibilities and competencies whilst working in the heart of contemporary industrial tech.
Secomea truly is a diverse company with almost 100 employees in total and offices placed across the globe, 25+ different nationalities and embracing all genders. In the Danish office in Herlev, they are now 86 employees of which 30 are in the Tech department.
