Would you like to be part of a mid-sized company that fights cybercrime? Could you see yourself in a workplace in Copenhagen with a good work-life balance and the opportunity to work from home? And is it important for you to have exciting work tasks, nice and skilled colleagues?

Make a difference in IT security

CSIS is a leader in IT security. Our 70+ skilled employees from all over the world help businesses and government organizations prevent and manage cyberattacks. You will be an essential part of our development team, which currently has 14 employees.

You'll also be part of a culture where everyone's contribution is crucial to what we do – including yours! We emphasize good collaboration across teams, disciplines and levels. You will meet some very dedicated colleagues who love their work and who at the same time appreciate each other socially.

It is important to us that our employees have a good work-life balance, and therefore there is flexibility in relation to working from home if it fits best into your life.

In CSIS we care about the society we impact, the environment we live in and the people in and outside our company. We value diversity and inclusion and strive to create a diverse workforce. We encourage all qualified applicants to apply for our open positions, regardless of age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, handicap, country of origin or ethnicity.

Your tasks

In your "home-team" of 4 developers you will be working on web applications, APIs, and integrations with third party products that are integral to our customers and internal users. • Review code to give constructive and friendly feedback and react to feedback that your code receives
  • Investigate how we could integrate third-party APIs into our systems, including the database schema changes required on our side
  • Come up with and work on tasks that you find fun and useful during our monthly hackathons

Your profile

The most important thing for us is that you are motivated to learn, to give feedback and generally take pride in your work. You can see yourself in our values, so you are responsible, show respect for others, and are proactive.

You probably have practical experience with some of the following technologies/concepts:

  • Python or other programming language (we use Python3 with Flask, FastAPI, pydantic, SQLAlchemy, pytest)
  • SQL (we use PostgreSQL)
  • Version Control (we use Git)

Other technologies and techniques we use at CSIS are:

  • Containers – Kubernetes/Docker
  • Infrastructure-as-Code – (Terraform)
  • Cloud infrastructure – (we use Google Cloud Platform)
  • Continuous Integration and Deployment (we use Cloudbuild)
  • Linux – (we use Debian and Ubuntu)
  • Frontend technologies - Typescript, React, pattern libraries, visual regression testing

In addition, we value if you:

  • Find interest in information security
  • Can receive and give respectful and constructive criticism
  • Have an open mind for new technologies, methodologies, and people
  • Are comfortable speaking and writing in English, the working language at CSIS

IMPORTANT:  We are aware that members of underrepresented communities often do not apply for jobs unless they are “100% qualified”. If this is part of the reason you hesitate to apply, we would like you to reconsider and give it a chance. Maybe your profile fits our needs much better than you think. We look forward to receiving your application.
