Technical Product Owner for Open Banking
Do you want to join a leading fintech company?
Would you like to develop, deliver, and operate attractive API solutions related to Open Banking?
SDC already have a solid foundation for Open Banking with cloud-based infrastructure and well-functioning API’s. With all the exiting tasks ahead of us, we have decided to expand the team with 2 new colleagues to support the strategy for driving innovation in payments and beyond. We are looking for a technically proficient Product Owner (PO) with focus on developing, delivering, and running our Open Banking PSD2 product, and a regulatory proficient Product Owner with a focus on PSD2 compliance and payments user experience. This job ad relates to the first role.
Status when you enter the scene.
We have established a cloud-based infrastructure for exposing external API’s and exposed all required PSD2 API’s. The API’s are used by a broad range of Third Party Providers (TPPs) covering also critical payments infrastructure. Currently we are focusing on maturing our product and consolidating our operational setup including Quality of Service, monitoring, incident handling, etc. Next is expanding our API offering for Open Banking and raise the bar when it comes to developer and user experience.
The team you will join.
We are establishing a product team around our Open Banking product portfolio. Currently the team consists of 4 highly skilled, engaged and committed colleagues who are looking forward to welcoming you to the Open Banking team (part of the CTO office). The team are product and technical solution owners for the SDC PSD2 API offering to TPPs. They take responsibility for the customer and end-user journeys, as well as product life-cycle management. Not alone obviously – always in close collaboration with multiple functions and competent colleagues across SDC and SDC customer banks.
Overall responsible for the technical solution.
You will work on technical development and deliveries, defining and driving a prioritized development and maintenance backlog across multiple functions, including releases, incidents, and customer support.
It’s you who, together with the solution architect, evaluate the full technology stack of the product for performance and quality, propose technical upgrades and improvements, and define effective system monitoring and alarms. You prioritize and estimate backlog items in cooperation with colleagues and define technical requirements for new features and user journeys in the backlog, ensuring an excellent user and developer experience.
You guide the development teams in daily implementation tasks and driving product updates, releases, pilot testing, and readiness for market launch. You also follow-up on operational product performance in terms of quality, stability, and response times.
Experience with payment API’s
Previous experience from a similar role is required and you need to have a conceptual understanding of API’s and Cloud services. You have experience in managing complex roadmaps, collaborating with different technology areas and business leaders.
A natural interest in technology, agile development, and optimization of processes goes without saying. And you can communicate complex messages and constructively challenge and guide stakeholders.
The role will also have occasional direct contact with SDC customer banks regarding for example new product feature requirements, incidents, and operational delivery.
Last – but not least – you come with the ability to stay motivated in a fast-moving environment where priorities change and with a requirement to deliver results.
Great Place to Work
Our work environment is characterized by openness, commitment, delegated responsibility, and team work as well as excellent professional and personal development opportunities.

A bit about SDC
It all started back in 1963, when a series of small savings banks went hand in hand with a dream of economies of scale and electronic bookkeeping. That dream still drives us. Today, we are 100+ both small and large banks from all over the Nordic region, who are part of the community, because shared solutions make us stronger.
We are over 700 colleagues in Ballerup and Warsaw, who work together every day to deliver a good banking experience to the users of 100+ Scandinavian banks. Many of our solutions are developed jointly for all customers - some for a small group. Common to them is that we want to maximize the customers’ benefit from the solutions and minimize the risk of not meeting the customers' needs.
The future demands more of SDC. The banks are working to adapt to the needs of the market, at the same time they are being met with increasing demands for regulation and efficiency. SDC works hard to be at the forefront of the customers’ needs and continue to be the preferred provider of solutions to Scandinavian banks.
