
Quantitative analyst for Automated Trading

Here’s what the job entails
In the role, your primary function will be to build and improve flexible asset optimisation models. Further, your areas of responsibility will include the following:
- develop strategies for optimal execution of flexible assets
- analyse market conditions and develop new trading and optimization strategies
- monitor our flexible assets and their performance
- ensure that our flexible asset operations comply with market rules
- communicate complex material to various internal stakeholders
Meet the team
As our new quantitative analyst you will join our Automated Trading team in which we support the business teams with developing, implementing and monitoring algo trading and flexible assets strategies and models. Further, we support the development and continuous performance improvement of our algo trading and flexible assets.
Your area of responsibility will be within our flexible asset setup (such as large-scale demand response and combined heat and power plants), meaning you will contribute directly to our renewables business and the energy transition. We are a diverse team of skilled specialists, ranging from economists, meteorologists, physicists and machine learning specialists. In the team, we always support each other – and we make sure to have fun as we go along.

But enough about us… over to you!
As you will be working with machine learning, strategy development and market understanding, we are looking for someone who is mathematically well-grounded. Also, as you will eventually be responsible for your own strategies, we imagine that you are not afraid of taking responsibility.
Furthermore, we expect that you:
- have a relevant educational background within Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or similar (or is about to graduate this summer)
- are proficient in Python – able to run, modify and build analytical tools as well as manipulate, analyse and visualise data
- are proficient in English, both written and verbal
Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
