Procurement manager

Would you like to play a central part in defining and implementing procurement processes and capabilities across our Technology organisation? Then this is your opportunity to step into a newly established role as procurement manager!

Here’s what the job entails

In this newly established role, your primary function will be to set the direction for our procurement strategy within our Tech organisation. You will be working closely with stakeholders, both in Tech and across the rest of the organisation, to clearly define, implement and communicate procurement processes, guidelines and capabilities.

Concretely, your areas of responsibility will be to:

  • define supplier map and contract overview
  • lead commercial negotiations and support managers in Tech drawing up new contracts or amendments to existing contracts when needed
  • work closely with Legal to ensure contractual approvals and compliance
  • perform license usage assessments and ensure that DC Tech is compliant to vendor contracts
  • create transparency regarding procurement spend and define and deliver cost optimisation plans
  • further develop stakeholder relations to ensure a strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Meet the team

You will become part of a rapidly growing Tech organisation of around 200 colleagues, taking care of everything from data and architecture to development, engineering and support.

More specifically, you will join our brand new CIO Office of now 7 people. The CIO Office has recently been established to support the continuous growth across our Tech organisation and you will be playing a key role in further developing Tech from a strategic perspective. The main objectives of this year are changing the Tech organisation towards an agile delivery model, implementing clear prioritisation processes and measurements on ROI. And with your help, take control of procurement management in Tech. The CIO Office is also managing the facility team and will be responsible for moving the organisation to our brand new Head Quarters next summer.

Danske Commodities is in a rapid growth phase, we are becoming a global player in the energy market, business opportunities are huge and Technology is the enabler for it all. That is why procurement management within Tech has become a key capability we need to master.

- Arne Højgaard Poulsen, Head of CIO Office
