Energy Trading Project Manager – Con­sul­ting

We are seeking an experienced ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) Project Manager to lead and manage projects related to gas and power (including renewables) trading. The ETRM Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, integration, and maintenance of software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy trading, project management, and experience with latest Program management tools.

About You:

• Project Management: Plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, monitor progress, and report on project status.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal teams, external vendors, and clients. Ensure effective communication and coordination among all parties.
• ETRM System Implementation: Lead the implementation and integration of ETRM software, including requirement gathering, configuration, development, testing, and deployment. Ensure the system meets business requirements and industry standards.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with ETRM projects. Develop risk management strategies and maintain a risk register.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards. Oversee testing processes, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Change Management: Develop and implement change management plans to ensure smooth transitions during system implementation and upgrades. Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets. Monitor expenditures and ensure projects are delivered within the agreed financial parameters.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular project status reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and financial reports. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and post-implementation reviews.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project management and ETRM system implementation.

Required & nice to have Skills :

Must Haves:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on ETRM or related fields
• Certifications: PMP, Prince2, or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

Nice to Have/ Your chance to grow

• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of energy markets, trading strategies, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements
• Experience with any ETRM solutions and digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of ETRM systems (e.g., OpenLink, Allegro, Endur, TriplePoint, etc.) and their implementation. Familiarity with energy trading and risk management processes.
