DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at DEIF, you will be involved in maintaining and optimizing their Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) systems. DEIF is a global leader in climate-friendly power management solutions, and this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to their cutting-edge, platform-based approach to software and hardware development. You will collaborate closely with software developers and other technical specialists and define and implement future CI/CD setup requirements based on the latest industry standards, trends, technologies and tools. In addition, you will also be responsible for maintaining physical and virtual server environments and automating pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab.
With direct report to the Department Manager, Systems & Tools, you will work within a dedicated team focused on supporting the smooth development process across DEIF’s product portfolio.
Your main tasks are:
- Maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
- Automating development processes to improve overall efficiency
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring seamless builds and integrations
- Collaborating with software development teams to define future CI/CD setup requirements
- Keeping updated on the latest trends in server environments and automation
You are expected to have experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins, as well as knowledge of containerisation technologies like Docker, are advantages. Proficiency in programming or scripting languages, such as Python, Java, Groovy, or C/C++, and experience with server administration in both Linux and Windows environments are crucial for success. Additionally, you should be familiar with version control systems like GIT and SVN.
You hold a master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field. Further certifications in DevOps practices or system administration are advantageous. You possess strong problem-solving skills, are an excellent communicator and have strong teamwork abilities. With your proactive mindset, you seek to stay up-to-date with DevOps trends and best practices.
