Student employee for Finance Tools & Control

Do you enjoy working with data and have some experience with coding in SQL, VBA or Power BI? Are you also a great collaborator who is skilled at sharing your insights in a way that is easy to understand for various stakeholders? Then grab this opportunity to become our new junior controller.

Here’s what the job entails

In this role, you will assist our controllers with one or more of our asset portfolios and gain valuable experience in business partnering and asset management from a finance perspective.

Concretely, your responsibilities include:

  • carrying out profit and loss statement calculations, settlement calculations and monthly closing within certain controlling areas based on large and complex datasets
  • optimising processes and tools
  • participating in cross-functional projects

Meet the team

You will join our Finance Tools & Control team, where we act as partners for our trading teams. Our primary task is to calculate P&L for these teams and ensure a correct month-end close. We analyse and report P&L and other financial numbers and work with large datasets using different tools and technologies. We continuously optimise our processes, tools and ways of working, for example by building and improving our own solutions for result calculations, month-end closing and analyses.

We are a team of 18 committed and quality-minded specialists in controlling, organised into three sub-teams. The team is very diverse and consists of colleagues from around the globe, and we have created a welcoming and supportive work environment where everyone feels included.

This is a great opportunity to learn about finance and coding within the complex domain of a global energy trading company.

- Henrik Sejer Gelineck Berg Head of Finance Tools and Control

But enough about us… over to you!

As we assist the business with data used for decision-making on a daily basis, it is important that you take an analytical, structured and curious approach to data and problem-solving.
