
Senior Business Developer for Self-Service Automation (banking)

The position and team
We are looking for an experienced Business Developer to join the Self-Service Automation Team, who will be playing a key role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities in close cooperation with our customers.
As a Business Developer, your overall responsibility will be to act as a liaison between customers, advisors, and IT developers. This means you will build a strong network among internal stakeholders at SDC and external stakeholders - such as our customers and third-party vendors - requiring excellent skills in networking, relationship-building, and general stakeholder management.
You will be joining a team of 9 Developers and 3 other Business Developers. We are part of the Effective Banking & Automation Department, which consists of approximately 75 engaged colleagues across locations in Ballerup and Warsaw.
Our department manages all customer-facing flows for end-users, including onboarding (private, business, and association customers), updating customer purpose (AML/ODD), ordering products, and creating new credit.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Some of your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with customers and stakeholders to identify and develop solutions within Self-Service Automation
- Design digital solutions using an iterative development process
- Map and design customer journeys for the bank’s clients, including private, association, and business sectors
- Develop and maintain the banks’ customer-facing flows
- Conduct workshops and testing to ensure high-quality solutions
- Manage operations, troubleshooting, and continuously optimize existing systems and automation solutions in collaboration with other departments at SDC
- Ensure a positive customer experience by providing direct support and maintaining close contact with banks
- Work closely with third-party suppliers to drive solution development and implementation
What sets you up for success in this role?
We are looking for:
- At least 4–5 years of experience in a financial institution or a similar position
- Experience as a Business Developer or Business Analyst
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex solutions in an understandable way
- Ability to uncover, translate, and contextualize needs into value-creating solutions
- Strong customer focus
- A structured approach and strong prioritization skills
- Determination, drive, and a results-oriented mindset
- Proactivity and a passion for engaging with customers and stakeholders
- A positive, open-minded attitude
- A strong eagerness to learn and grow, both professionally and personally
- Fluency in both Danish and English
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Figma or another mockup programme
- Experience in end-customer flows
- Curiosity about work process connections and an interest in IT

SDC and Netcompany to develop the future of banking services
In February 2025, SDC signed a merger agreement with Netcompany. This new constellation is aimed to offer top tier solutions to bank personnel and clients.
