DevOps Engineer for maritime data solutions
Danelec is recognized as one of the major players in the maritime safety and ship performance monitoring space. To support these business units, and our aspiration to be recognized as the best and most trustworthy data partner for maritime solutions, we need to strengthen our IT operations team. We have a significant number of cloud as well as on-prem solutions in production – and a 40+ software development team spread across US, NO and DK.
We’re looking for a team player who can fill the DevOps Engineer position in our small but important IT Operations team at Danelec HQ in Farum, Denmark. Our team’s mission is to facilitate continuous development of best-in-class solutions, as well as a rock-solid production environment for precious customer data while building common infrastructure platforms and supporting our developers.
Your responsibilities
- Deploy and manage our infrastructure with IaC, which spans AWS, Azure and on-prem VMware.
- Provide operational support and engineering for our cloud and on-premises applications
- Build and scale internal developer products with focus on efficiency, reliability, and security
- Contribute to the architecture & design of our systems in collaboration with other teams
- Improve reliability, quality, and time to market by increasing our level of automation
- Improve our monitoring built on tools from the Grafana observability stack
About you
You are passionate about infrastructure and find Platform Engineering, DevOps and SRE interesting.
You are either newly graduated, an experienced developer or have already worked with infrastructure management.
You would like to use your wide-ranging knowledge of both development and operations to perform a wide variety of different tasks, including programming, infrastructure management, system administration and setting up DevOps toolchains.
You have:

Your will have some
- Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience on public clouds (Azure, AWS)
- Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL)
- Experience with containers and their orchestration, preferably using Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform, Bicep)
- Developer experience (Python, C#, Go, Git, CI/CD systems)
- Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
- Ability to develop applications in Python or language such as C#. You know how to apply CI/CD techniques to your codebase
- Previous record of having maintained on-premises or cloud-based infrastructure
- Fluent in written and spoken English
