Welcome to your brand new department

External Integration API Services is a new team of 20 colleagues with 3 sub-teams – each with a team lead. We have gathered our knowledge to support the overall DSV strategy but also the DSV IT strategy, by focusing on APIs as a strategic tool for customer interaction and integration. You will be leading through the team leads and focus on setting the direction for the team as a whole.

You can work from our office in Horsens or Hedehusene.

We have the focus and support of top management, and there is an atmosphere of excitement about growing this area, so you’ll be off to a good start

Develop the department to support the “API First” strategy

You will play a central part in evolving the entire customer-facing API area in DSV, together with your department, IT and the DSV Business. The aim is to triple the amount of DSV customers using APIs and the API calls in DSV by 2025 while maintaining an integration strategy for your department.

About half your time will be spent on both people and strategic management, while the other half deals with concrete, technical integration situations where you make sure our deliveries and projects are on schedule. Keeping your stakeholders such as business divisions and other IT departments up to date, you will also:

• Create a backlog of work for the API development team
• Ensure transparency in deliverables and communicate with stakeholders on progress
• Enable governance and processes for the use of APIs in DSV
• Take ownership of the API platform and be a part of choosing the right technology for DSV

This area is developing rapidly, and we want to be able to deliver. You and I will work closely together, and you will also gain the support of a solution architect as well as our larger IT leadership team of 7 colleagues

Solid API knowledge and leadership experience

We are looking for a new colleague who is good at building trust and creating transparency and has an interest in working with many different cultures. Your good communication skills allow you to share our successes and highlight our challenges no matter your audience.

Moreover, you can manoeuvre in a changing environment and ensure progress through a clear strategy and road maps. Finally, we imagine that you:

• Have worked with data integration in a customer-centric environment – perhaps within retail or a distribution or production company
• Have solid technical knowledge of API
• May have experience with API Management Platforms (preferably APIC) and programming skills in C#, Python and/or JAVA
• Are fluent in English
