You will become part of our growing team, working with other IT specialists in both Denmark & the UK. The IT team is part of our Finance & Operations department, comprising 27 colleagues within their respective fields.

We operate in an agile organization with close cross-border cooperation. We are organized based on our product areas, and have regular Teams calls/meetings to continue strengthening the team , sharing latest updates, and transferring knowledge

The position

As our new Application Support Specialist, you will primarily focus on providing backend support for Microsoft Business Central and other applications. This covers analysis, advice, uncovering and documenting scenarios, planning various tasks that you solve yourself or pass on to the development team. You will be the key person to provide support for the applications.

On a daily basis, you will work closely with our Business Analysts to ensure seamless operations and functionality. This role will also involve performing common configuration tasks in Business Central or in any other business critical systems.

Examples of responsibilities include:

  • Providing comprehensive backend support for Microsoft Business Central and other applications to ensure smooth operation and functionality.
  • Collaborating closely with the IT team and Business Analysts to understand system requirements and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Performing common configuration tasks in Business Central to optimize system performance and meet business needs.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving application issues as well as working closely with end-users and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Onboarding and training colleagues.
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, and testing of solutions.
  • Collaborating with the incident response team to investigate and solve incidents.

This position can be located at any of our European offices. Work and residency permit needs to be in place before applying. Please state where you are to be located in the application.

The candidate, we are looking for, preferably has experience or obtained papers in the following fields:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • C/AL, SQL, Javascript, .NET, SOAP, REST, or AL
  • Microsoft Business Central and other application support requirements
  • Configuration tasks in Microsoft Business Central
  • Other applications and technologies

The position involves daily contact with colleagues from different teams, contractors, and outsourced vendors. You must therefore be service minded, enjoy building relationships, plus thrive in communicating online, on the phone, and in-person with many different people. In some scenarios, the in-person communication will require some travel.

While experience and knowledge are important factors, the right attitude and willingness to learn are paramount.Whatever you may lack in experience and knowledge, we can teach you. Therefore, you can be fresh out of school, ready to develop your skill further, and we will take the time to invest in you. You can also be an experienced and pre-skilled senior profile, whom we can help further develop within the insurance field.

Since we work cross-borders, language skills are vital. Speaking and writing a very high level of English is a must, and knowing one of the local language of the country you will be placed in are preferable for the integration of the workplace.
