Senior De­ve­l­op­ment Platform Engineer – Focus on company de­ve­l­op­ment ef­fi­ci­en­cy

A team that delivers efficient and resilient developer services

Joining Systematic, you will become a part of our internal IT department (ITM). This department runs IT projects, develops and maintains Systematics software development applications, business applications and IT infrastructure, and provides IT support for all employees. The team you will join consists of six experienced and young colleagues who focus on delivering efficient and resilient developer services and continuously improving the developer experience while ensuring the company’s security and compliance needs.

The important link between Software developers and development platforms

As a Development Platform Engineer, your greatest responsibility is strengthening the development platforms and services by engaging with the business and understanding the development needs. From this, you should be able to improve and optimize the developer experience while ensuring security, scalability, and resiliency in the solutions. This means that your everyday tasks will cover:

  • Developing and supporting development tools while maintaining our current and securing relevant changes.
  • Engaging in developer experience challenges and aligning requirements for improvements with business stakeholders.
  • Present complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.
  • Investigate new opportunities in existing and new technologies that can improve our development services efficiency and delivery.
  • Develop improvement roadmaps and lead the associated feature planning.
  • Run pilot projects with business teams and participate in hands-on PoCs.

Experienced Specialist with a background in international work spheres

We expect that you bring a background with some years of experience working as a Senior IT Specialist, preferably within software development and development tools, perhaps platform engineering.

In terms of technologies, you can expect to be working with the technologies mentioned below. We therefore expect that you have good experience with some of these:

  • Nexus, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Helm,
  • Jira, Teamcity, Bitbucket and GitHub Enterprise.

Lastly, you must expect some travel, a maximum of 20 days a year, for conferences, training, and office visits.
