IT Security and Com­pli­an­ce Officer


At Egmont, we are committed to safeguarding our digital assets and maintaining the integrity of our information. As a part of our ongoing initiatives, we are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Security Compliance Officer to join our Group IT department in strengthening the backbone of our organization's security framework. We’re looking for someone who can help us lift our IT Security further and drive security across our portfolio of subsidiaries.

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing security policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and audits, and our IT Security certification, response and insurance. Plus ensure the on-going education and training our staff on best practices for information security.

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in computer science or a related field, experience with driving IT Security certification, supporting audits and policy development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Egmont’s information security program and strategy.
  • Identify and manage risks to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
  • Implement and monitor adherence to security policies, procedures, and controls to protect information assets from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches and recommend corrective actions.
  • Educate and train staff on information security awareness and best practices.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and trends in information security.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for a wider organization on compliance and security topics.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Working knowledge with (ISO) IT Security Certification and frameworks such ISO 27001, ISAE 3000 etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in analysing and responding to security assessments, audits, and penetration tests.
  • Familiarity with security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, VPN, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation and reporting towards executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
