Senior Software Engineer

For our client Printix, we are looking for a passionate and experienced Software Engineer to be part of their team. They would like that you take on senior responsibilities in the development of the backend of their Cloud-based SaaS solution which revolutionizes print processes in companies all over the world. They use state-of-the-art technologies, e.g. they are on the microservice landscape since 2014.

With Printix in Herlev close to Copenhagen, you will be part of unique journey building a fantastic global software organization and platform. The company has grown substantially during the past years, developing and marketing their Cloud-based print management system for happy users all over the world.

Your key responsibilities

Depending on your interests, you can be involved in the entire development process of the core technologies from architecture, professionalism of the development process such as stable code, code reviews, developing and implementing features, as well as ensuring the security aspects.
You will work with a highly skilled and experienced team of backend developers. Apart from your team at the Printix office in Herlev where the core technologies are built, some of your colleagues are placed in the UK, Hungary and Germany – and you will also guide and help them with the more difficult issues. Also, you will work in close cooperation with their Director of Engineering.

Printix backend runs in Azure Cloud and is developed in Java using the Spring Boot framework and a Microservice architecture. The Tech stack includes but is not limited to Kubernetes, Docker, MongoDB, Kafka, ZooKeeper, Cassandra and Elasticsearch.

Your professional skills

• You have at least five years of experience in developing complex software systems in either Java and you have no problem learning new technologies
• You are passionate about architecture such as microservices as well as high quality software, and you are comfortable running the code from A-Z
• It’s an advantage if you have experience with Spring Boot and Cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS), working in a continuous delivery and integration environment
• You like the Linux environment and are conscious of secure solutions
• It is a plus if you have worked with different Cloud set-ups and SaaS systems – and experience with some of the tech stack mentioned above
• You probably have a master’s degree in computer science or similar
