Software Architect for innovative product extensions

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact? Join Systematic as a Software Architect and lead the way at defining the architecture and design for innovative and reusable product extensions for our customers. Joining our team means becoming part of a forward-thinking, technology-driven organisation where your technical excellence and quality standards are highly valued.

Join Systematic and head our reusable product extensions

Our customer base continues to expand, which is leading to an increased demand to integrate our products with customers’ equipment and infrastructure and to extend the products with customer-specific functionality.

In addition to continuously growing our two existing teams in Aarhus, Denmark, and Warsaw, Poland, we are establishing a new software development team at our Copenhagen office. The new team will, like the other two teams, be part of our Defence Services organisation and operate in an international environment with customers around the world.

Working out of our well-established office in central Copenhagen, the team will be responsible for developing reusable extensions to the SitaWare and IRIS product suites using the APIs exposed by the products.

A hands-on architect role at the frontline of software innovation

Our new Software Architect will play an instrumental role in defining the architecture and designing innovative and reusable extensions that will take our SitaWare and IRIS product suites to the next level.

You will set and drive the technical direction and lead the team towards technical excellence, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of quality, scalability and performance while maximising reusability.

Collaboration is key, and you will engage and work closely with the Project Manager, key stakeholders within the Defence delivery organisation and architects across our product suites to ensure alignment and success.

This role also offers the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and be actively involved in developing key features, putting your architectural vision into practice.

Your day-to-day tasks include designing, prototyping and breaking down customer needs into product requirements, aligning with stakeholders, evolving the architectural vision and solving complex technical challenges alongside the development team.

You should expect some business travel as you will visit our head office in Aarhus as well as occasionally participating in customer visits in different parts of world.

Software architecture and a keen eye for designing reusable extensions

To succeed in this role, you have a minimum of 3 years of experience at working with software architecture combined with several years of hands-on development experience. Furthermore, it is essential that you can translate user needs into plug-in solutions and effectively document and communicate solution designs at the appropriate abstraction level for all stakeholders.

You will stand out even more if you have:

  • experience with API-based product development and the development of plug-ins.
  • experience with micro services and micro frontends within technologies such as Java and Angular.
  • a goal-oriented, proactive and organised work style.
  • excellent communication skills and a pragmatic problem-solving mindset.

Additionally, we are also looking for:

  • a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within IT or a related area.
  • proficiency in both spoken and written English; this is a must as you will be part of an international environment.
  • a keen eye for identifying opportunities for improvement and designing for reusability.
