Software Developer at Security Solutions Company

For our client, Cryptomathic, we are looking for a skilled C/C++ software developer to join their team working on the development of Cryptomathic’s security solution for mobile apps – Cryptomathic Mobile App Security Core (MASC). Experience with iOS and Android is a plus.

MASC protects against a wide range of attacks on mobile apps on both iOS and Android, and is used worldwide by Cryptomathic’s clients within the financial sector.
This is a security core written in C/C++, primarily used in mobile banking apps and eID apps to ensure the integrity of the app and to establish secure communication with backend services.

Your responsibilities will mainly include:

  • Developing, improving, and maintaining MASC using C/C++ and Android/iOS technologies.
  • Designing and documenting new technical solutions to strengthen MASC and contributing to the product’s roadmap.
  • Participating in meetings and day-to-day communication with clients and stakeholders to understand and address their challenges and requirements.
  • Developing automated tests and performing manual tests to ensure high quality.

The team currently consists of three developers and a technical project manager. The atmosphere is characterized by high professional engagement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

They work according to a scrum-inspired project model with daily stand-ups, and as a developer, you will be involved in all aspects of development.

The team regularly discusses solution proposals for new or improved features, and you will be involved in shaping the technical solution. There are also good opportunities to interact with the client’s developers regarding requirements, technical support issues, and any presentations of new features.

In this team, they use the following technologies:

C/C++, Objective C, Swift, Java, Kotlin, Gradle, Ant, Artifactory with Xray, Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, and LaTeX.

About you

We imagine that you:

  • Have a relevant technical education, e.g., a Master’s degree in computer science or software engineering
  • Have a minimum of three years of professional developer experience
  • Are proficient in C/C++ and possibly mobile app development for iOS and/or Android in Objective C/Swift and/or Kotlin/Java.
  • Have an interest in digital security and applied cryptography.
  • Have an interest in reverse engineering and possibly penetration testing.
