Head of Ap­pli­ca­tions & Data lab for IFU

We are looking for a Head of Applications & Data lab who will be responsible for leading and coaching the team, shaping the overall application architecture, overseeing application life cycle management, and ensuring seamless integration of data across our organization – with the aim of making it easy, smart, and secure for our investment team to operate.

You will be an instrumental part of delivering on a major digital transformation with the aim of making our processes and decisions more digital, automated, and data driven to support an ambitious growth strategy. Reporting to the SVP Technology & Operations, you will be responsibility for a team of 7, ranging from very experienced IT professionals to students. The role is situated in Copenhagen and the teams sits in Copenhagen and in New Delhi.

Key responsibilities

As Head of Applications & Data lab you will:

• Based on a deep understanding of IFU’s goals, priorities, processes, and critical business needs, determine when and how digital solutions can address them
• Form the overall strategic direction for company’s data and applications architecture in collaboration with the team
• Collaborate with internal resources and external consultants to align strategies, coordinate efforts, and implement solutions
• Oversee the entire life cycle of applications and implement effective change management processes to facilitate smooth transitions in technology and processes
• Ensure applications meet quality standards, security requirements, and compliance regulations
• Drive digital initiatives to enhance data utilization and implement solutions that ensure consistency and user-friendly access to data

The person

We are looking for a person who has:

• a proven experience in a leadership role related to applications and data.
• a technical background and technical proficiency, particular within the Microsoft technology stack (i.e. CRM, BI, D/O365

Essential skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
• Great communication skills as well as change management and stakeholder management skills
• Preferable background from the financial sector
• Some experience with agile and DevOps
