Software Engineer


Our Software Engineer with Team Architect responsibilities is leaving for a new position in BEC which means that we are looking for a replacement for our Custody team in Herning. The Custody is a part of the Wealth Management and Trading Domain, and we develop services like Custody, Aktiesparekonto, ESG (sustainable key figures on investments), Pool, Tax reporting etc.

As a Team Architect / software engineer, you will play a key role in building our Business Solutions and you will be a part of a dynamic team of three Business Analysts and nine Software Developers.

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely an average of two days a week. Your direct manager will be Søren Mortensen

Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the right architectural focus from detailed solutions to overall architectural roadmaps for the systems – in close cooperation with the Domain Architect.
  • Be able to design the architecture of a solution and drive the development.
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code to support varied and complex IT solutions, that fulfil the requirements of our customer.
  • Being an active team member and taking responsibility for developing and implementing IT solutions as well as new technologies.
  • Participating in scrum events, where you share experiences, new ideas and create an environment that fosters professional and personal growth.
  • Preparing technical and procedural documentation associated with IT development.
  • Collaborating with the product owner and other teams to ensure the best possible solutions for incoming business requirements.

To succeed you will have:

  • Experienced with Cobol, CICI, DB2, JCL, SQL and IDz/RDz, but also experience working with a decentralized tech stack.
  • Experienced working with architecture ensuring solutions with high robustness, flexibility etc.
  • Domain knowledge in the Wealth Management domain.
  • The team is based in Denmark and Poland so experience in working in such a cross-border setup is an advantage.
  • A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
