Senior Backend Developer to also take on the Team Lead in cross-fun­ctio­nal team


Intect is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join one of their cross-functional teams as a Team Lead. The team is 3 backend developers, 1 frontend developer and 1 QA engineer. As a Team Lead you will play a crucial role in driving Intect's projects as well as building strong payroll solutions as a Senior Backend Developer.

Intect’s payroll application is developed as web- and mobile apps based on the MS Stack using .NET/C# and MSSQL technology with WEB APIs. We are looking for a person who masters these technologies.

You will be working closely with the Head of Development on alligning the team's activities to meet deadlines and create strong customer focused solutions.

The position is a new position and has been established as a natural next step on Intects continously expansion.

The successful candidate will show strong professional skills within backend development, interest in agile methods, as well as strong people skills engaging the team in cross-functional cooperation.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using C#/.NET, Entity Framework, and WebAPI.
  • Manage Azure SQL and SQL Server databases, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate project timelines, resources, and information to achieve project objectives.
  • Foster an agile/SCRUM work environment
  • Mentor and support team members, encouraging professional growth and technical excellence.

The professional qualification and experiences we are looking for:

  • You probably come from a role as a Senior Backend Developer or a Team Lead with a background in backend development.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar skills.
  • You possess a strong knowledge of .NET/C#, Entity Framework, WEB APIs and Azure SQL / SQL Server.
  • You have experience - or at least interest - in agile methods and in leading cross-functional teams.
  • It is an advantage, if you are familiar with payroll systems or have expertise in related financial domains.
  • You master English as a professional working language - both written and spoken

Employment terms

The position is a full-time position with great flexibility regarding work location and working hours. It is possible to work onsite or hybrid spending 2-3 days a week in the office.
