Software Engineer
Qpurpose is looking for a Software Engineer to join the team. This position is in close collaboration with the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). It offers a unique blend of classical programming and software development within a quantum computing framework. The main responsibilities of this position include execution and delivery of impactful industry applications using classical algorithms and software development techniques. In the future, there will be opportunities to integrate quantum computing techniques. At Qpurpose, we work with a variety of industry partners in fields including finance, health and life sciences, meteorological prediction, and renewable energy distribution.
The position is located on SDU Odense campus, and the work is expected to be onsite/hybrid.
What you’ll do:
- Build, optimize, and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Be curious and take ownership in the development process.
- Collaborate with researchers and fellow engineers to ensure value alignment and delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with backend frameworks and databases.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Bonus points:
- Experience in C/C++.
- Experience in software development within highly secured environments with sensitive data.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
