Student Assistant – Data Analyst
Are you interested in creating customized data analytics solutions that empower our decision-makers? We are seeking a student who is eager to enhance our business with valuable insights across all our activities.
If this sounds suitable to you, then you might be our next data analyst!
About the job
As a leading provider of technology solutions for the shipping industry, we profoundly rely on finding ways to enrich our business with valuable, efficient, and informative insights. In this position, you will play a crucial role in delivering and communicating meaningful data insights to our stakeholders. Your contributions will directly impact our data-driven initiatives, and you will have the opportunity to work across multiple domains.
We offer a flexible student job where we aim to nurture your growth and provide you with greater responsibilities by exposing you to a variety of tasks. You will have ample exposure within Danelec, collaborating with different departments to gather, display, and interpret the data they need to make informed decisions.
Since we often work on multiple tasks simultaneously, here is an overview of the projects you can expect to be involved in:
- Creating automated Power BI dashboards
- Create mock-ups of new potential solutions and blueprints of processes
- Workshop facilitator about new features in various reports
- Train end-users in reporting solutions to increase data literacy among end-users
- Communication of insights and how-to-guiding
- Learn about our automated data platform in the Azure cloud environment
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis for management
In terms of practical arrangements, we anticipate that you'll be able to dedicate 15-20 hours per week, with the flexibility to adjust during busy student periods such as exams. Whether working on-site or remotely, we'll collaborate to strike a healthy balance that allows for efficient progress while accommodating your need for flexibility.
Who are you?
First and foremost, you thrive in a collaborative working environment where you can contribute your perspective on various subjects. You possess a natural inclination to optimize different business domains and can discuss how to find ideal solutions for the business. We imagine you are enrolled in a master's program related to one of the fields IT, data, business, economics, engineering, or a similar field.
While prior experience with automated data solutions is not a requirement, it would be advantageous if you enjoy investigating business trends based on data. As an individual, you approach problem-solving methodically and systematically, quickly understanding and analyzing relatively complex issues. As a globally operating company, we communicate in English, and at our headquarters in Farum, Denmark, fluency in both spoken and written English and Danish is necessary.
We offer a position where we are dedicated to the development of your competencies and skill-set. Furthermore, we maintain an inclusive work environment where we highly appreciate diverse perspectives brought to the table.
