Student Market Analyst

Are you curious about how your analytical skills can help tomorrow’s energy trading systems progress?

At Mind Energy, market analysis is built into how we make decisions. It’s what ensures that our trading strategies are sharp, our forecasts are reliable, and our risk management is bulletproof. As a Student Market Analyst, you play a key role in supporting our insights.

Dive into what your day-to-day tasks will be

You work closely with experienced colleagues across forecasting, data engineering, and risk management to make sure our stakeholders get the insights they need. You’ll be part of a setup that encourages autonomy and learning, giving you the chance to contribute to analysis, forecasts, and tools from day one.

Your mission includes:

  • Development and maintenance of BI-tools
  • Contributing to energy market analysis
  • Supporting development and maintenance of solar, wind, and consumption forecasts
  • Assisting with risk management tasks and analysis of strategies
  • Maintaining and improving our data setup
  • Taking part in ad hoc projects that shape our market insights

Join a team of mindful achievers

You become part of a skilled team of 10 colleagues combining expertise in renewable energy forecasting, consumption analysis, data engineering, risk management, and business intelligence. The team works closely together, values knowledge sharing, and makes sure to also enjoy the social side of collaboration. Expect regular social activities like bowling or darts, as well as spontaneous breaks for table tennis or a walk.

Let’s switch the focus to you

You are a student who thrives in a fast-paced environment where curiosity and responsibility go hand in hand. You are detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated by helping to build strong solutions for a critical energy system.

We imagine you bring:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Physics, or a similar field
  • Proficiency in Python (we value production-ready code)
  • Experience with software development, Azure, SQL, or Excel is an advantage – but not a requirement
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to visualize your work clearly to stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset, combined with the ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks
  • You enjoy meeting new people and are not afraid to ask questions to seek out knowledge. Above all, you value both professional growth and the social side of teamwork.

This is a part-time position of approximately 14–15 hours per week. We understand the demands of your studies, so working hours are flexible, particularly around exams.

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and identities to apply, as we believe that a diverse team leads to strong solutions.

Please note that this role requires working from our office location in Aarhus.
