Business Master data Specialist - Engine Lifecycle Management

You will play an important role in:
As a Business Master Data Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and governance of product lifecycle data for 2-stroke engines. You will support transformation initiatives, act as the business owner of key master data, and collaborate across R&D, Engineering, IT, PrimeServ and external partners to align data standards and enable efficient, data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lifecycle data ownership & business engagement
- Acts as the business owner of master data related to 2-Stroke engines
- Specify business data needs and requirements for data format, quality, and usage.
- Support engineering architecture & services, IT and PLM systems teams to ensure data requirements are implemented as specified by business
- Support new product introductions, changes, and retrofits from a master data perspective.
- Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, IT, Licensee & Services, and business stakeholders to align data practices with strategic goals.
Data Quality Management
- Drive and support relevant data cleansing, enrichment and data validation initiatives across PLM systems and lifecycle processes
- Support digital transformation and AI projects by enabling accurate and accessible data throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct data quality assessments and actively support initiatives to ensure that master data remains accurate, consistent, and aligned with business requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Governance & Compliance
- Together with engineering services & architecture drive product data governance model definition.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards.
- Work closely together with ESE data specialist to maximize value for the business
Training & Change Support
- Train and support end business users on master data processes and standards.
- Promote awareness of data quality importance within the technology and product development organization.
We imagine that you:
- Have a degree in Engineering, Information Management, or a related field, with experience in master data management or PLM environments.
- Solid understanding of product lifecycle processes and data governance principles.
- Experience with PLM systems (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter, ARAS) and their data structures.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, analysing, and validating master data across systems.
- Familiarity with Python is a plus, especially for streamlining data processes, automating tasks, or supporting data quality initiatives.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such PowerBI
- Knowledge of data integration tools for managing data flows between systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Fluency in English and comfort working in a global, cross-functional environment.

We are part of a unified Engineering Two-Stroke organization, with a clear ambition to serve as the crankshaft of the EVERLLENCE engine lifecycle - responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end processes that span the entire lifecycle of our 2-stroke engines.
Alongside our colleagues within the functional area, we ensure production process validation and quality in the supply chain, and safe and compliant market introduction of marine products through an efficient approval process.
