Senior Software Developer
We are looking for a passionate and experienced software developer with a backend focus to join our R&D team and help us develop and maintain software solutions that support internal and external tools, driving our mission: decarbonizing the maritime shipping industry.
In this position, you will have a uniquely close connection to our awesome product – the two-stroke engine – and to the customers we support.
If you want to create innovative solutions and make a real impact, we’d love to welcome you on board!
You will play an important role in:
- Developing and enhancing scalable web applications using C#, .NET Core, Angular, SQL, and Azure
- Collaborating closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
- Designing modern architectures and optimize system performance, scalability, and security
- Ensuring code quality and maintainability through best practices and coding standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects
You will start by learning our current systems and gaining insight into engine performance. Soon after, you’ll take responsibility for sub-models, supported by colleagues who share approaches, calculations, and requirements. We encourage creativity and give you freedom to influence content and feature implementation.
Your profile:
- Extensive experience in object-oriented software development, ideally with profound SQL expertise
- Strong analytical skills and ability to design robust architectures
- Ability to mentor and guide less experienced colleagues
- Knowledge off CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
What can you expect from us:
You will join a team of 2–3 experienced software developers together with 5 domain experts, working in an informal atmosphere with a pleasant social environment and regular social activities. You will collaborate closely with passionate, skilled colleagues who are eager to share knowledge and learn from you. We work in a collaborative and innovative environment where your ideas matter and your work makes a real difference. You will have great opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, with access to all necessary training to develop your skills for current and future demands
We support both external and internal customers with new features of varying size and complexity - sometimes with short timelines from idea to product, and other times with longer development cycles.
To get a taste of our external tools, check out: Engine selection guide & CEAS. We also maintain several internal tools supporting engine-related data, and together we take full responsibility for both backend and frontend systems.
