Senior IT Project Manager
Are you an experienced IT Project Manager who can navigate within a maturing project management landscape and still deliver high project satisfaction. In this role, you’ll lead our SAP program and elevate ABENA’s project management landscape to become aligned with end‑to‑end principles for creating scalable and sustainable solutions.
If so, we are confident you will thrive as our Senior IT Project Manager at ABENA!
Lead complex SAP Programs and ensure an end-to-end project delivery landscape.
We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to carry the baton forward together with the rest of the team in leading a complex IT initiative from concept to delivery and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will bridge business and technical teams, drive alignment, manage risks, and secure outcomes that support our strategic goals.
We are currently on a greenfield S/4HANA implementation journey, having just completed the pilot, and your role will be key in the further rollout, continuous template improvements, and expanding coverage of business capabilities.
You will also play an important part in strengthening our project management setup, models, and tools in an environment that is still maturing, making the role both influential and exciting. We need someone who thrives in a setting where not everything is defined, who works proactively, thinks end‑to‑end, and can create structure even when processes are still evolving.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Plan, execute, and oversee end-to-end IT projects, including software development, infrastructure upgrades, and ERP implementations.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional and international teams, manage third-party vendors, and communicate progress to senior leadership.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate KPIs, manage budgets, and control risks and issues.
- Ensure alignment with IT governance, security, and quality standards.
- Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management frameworks and shape the future of our PMO.
What we hope you bring
- Several years of project management experience in IT environments leading complex projects.
- Proven record delivering large-scale projects using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Solid hands‑on understanding of ERP and CRM systems, with broad insight into IT landscapes and integrations
- Open-mindedness: being able to listen and reflect, and also learn from mistakes and adjust
- PMP/IPMA, PRINCE2, SCRUM or equivalent certification is greatly preferred.
