Product owner (senior) - Data & Analytics
This position is based at our office in Roskilde, and you will join our Data & Analytics Product Management Team. The Data & Analytics division has a broad responsibility to build and maintain all the necessary systems and platforms for the general development of data & analytics solutions.
The various systems & platforms are in the process of transitioning from on-prem to cloud over the coming years as a part of our Data Modernization initiative. We share a common goal of providing top-of-the-class platforms and solutions to our member banks to support their data modernization journeys.

The Product Owner role centers on supporting ongoing digital transformation efforts. This position also provides the opportunity to help shape the team's future direction and contribute to the roadmap for the data modernization initiative in close collaboration with the product management team and the division.
The Product Owner is at the forefront of this exploratory work and has the responsibility to bring in all the relevant stakeholders to create a roadmap that fulfills the needs of the business.
At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely.

Primary task and responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the product manager, the development managers, and the team members as well as with product owners out-side the team to support cross-domain collaboration.
- Work closely with the domain architect & team architects to support and ensure that the architectural vision and architectural runway supports the product vision.
- Balance the expectations for deliveries building the roadmap and describing the deliveries for 5 quarters.
- Communicate priorities to customers and other stakeholders internally in BEC as well as externally.
- Bring customer insights into the roadmap, understanding pain points, implementation challenges and business context
- Align the team's priorities and dependencies with other teams and BEC strategy.
- Drive targeted epic refinement efforts to effectively achieve business outcomes of products through established deliverables.
- Breakdown epics into features, feature refinement and prioritization
- Drive the process to describe backlog items including business benefit, needed effort to deliver, dependencies, architectural clarifications.
To succeed you will have:
- Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken).
- +5 years of experience either in the data area or from a position working as a product owner in a professional IT organization or in the financial sector.
- A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
- Understanding of both internal and external customer needs to connect business value to data & AI practices.
- Sufficient technical skills and knowledge in the data area to maintain the necessary credibility when you interact with others in various areas.
- Strong motivator of others – always explains the WHY.
- Values teamwork and is deeply committed to supporting the team’s well-being.
- Ambitious - with your product, your team, and yourself.
- Be a strong facilitator of meetings & workshops as facilitation is an important part of everyday responsibility.
