Student worker in Transport Management
We are currently looking for a positive and motivated candidate that can help our team deliver ad-hoc Transport related analysis, combine data from different sources, and build & maintain a well-structured data models. We seek a technical minded person that has a good understanding of data structures, especially including knowledge of (SQL) databases, data modeling, reporting, python programming language and visualizing data in PowerBI.
You will play an important role in:
- Building and maintaining Power BI data models and datasets/data pipelines
- Doing analysis based on Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Collecting data from multiple sources and creating actionable results from them for end users.
- Creating ad-hoc or standardized reports using Microsoft Power BI and communicating the results effectively with the appropriate visualizations.
- Helping users to make sense of the data by discovering business insights from the relevant results.
- Supporting business users globally and colleagues within Transport Management by resolving issues and assisting with application‑related tasks and questions.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of our processes and contributing to process automation initiatives.
We imagine that you:
- Have a good knowledge and experience working with SQL language and databases in general.
- Have experience with Power BI or other BI tools and want to bring your knowledge to the next level.
- Are comfortable analyzing data with Microsoft Excel (filters, pivot tables, lookup formulas).
- Are an independent and motivated learner who also thrives as a collaborative team player.
- Have hands‑on experience with the Python programming language, or a strong willingness to learn and develop skills in it.
- Are able to quickly close gaps in your knowledge by investigating, learning, and asking more experienced colleagues (often fellow students).
- Keep an eye on the latest releases and are excited about implementing new features.
- As we are interested in a longer commitment, we encourage especially students in their bachelor or latest in their first Master semester to apply for the job.
You are expected to work at least 15 hours per week.

Transport Management supports the PrimeServ Headquarters and International Group Companies in relation to entering and implementing framework agreements, maintaining global Freight Calculator, KPI handling towards transport providers, CO2e calculations related to transport activities, transport market intelligence and continuous improvements between PrimeServ and contract partners. We are a small team located mainly in Frederikshavn but with a colleague based in Copenhagen. We are working closely with local stakeholders on several different sites in our global network. Part of our vision is to strive for standardized processes and encourage both digitized and sustainable solutions.
