Technical Product Owner


Infomedia is seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner (TPO) to join our innovative Project Management Office (team) working to shape the Nordic media landscape. As a TPO, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our product vision and technical implementation, ensuring successful product development within our project framework.

About the position

As a Technical Product Owner, you will work closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to define the technical strategy in collaboration with Tech. You will serve as a subject-matter expert who combines technical knowledge with product and project management expertise.

As a part of the PMO team, you will collaborate closely with the Head of PMO to align product development with strategic objectives. Working with project managers and Product Management, you will ensure successful execution of technical aspects for both Infomedia and Opoint.

The role requires an excellent overview of Infomedia's overall business strategy, markets, products and services, and internal / third party tools, systems, and processes.

Key responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities include owning the execution and development of new products or features, managing project timelines and objectives, and translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

  • Own the project execution of product features from specification to implementation and analysis.
  • Gather and synthesise requirements from multiple stakeholders.
  • Plan and prioritise product development based on business value and ROI.
  • Serve as a product ambassador internally and externally.
  • Participate actively in Agile processes, including daily scrums and sprint planning sessions.
  • Act as a technical adviser to Product Management and stakeholders.

Competencies and personal qualities

  • Excellent project management skills with significant experience in leading and project managing large complex projects and/or programs within time, scope, and budget.
  • Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills. You use data to make decisions and are comfortable gathering it yourself or working with others to gather it.
  • Effective communicator. Able to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • A problem-solving mindset, and the ability and positive mindset to “figure things out”.
  • Excellent decision-making skills including the ability to articulate the reasoning behind the decisions, and confidence in making strategic and operational decisions.

  • Have a higher education or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Have 3-5 years of technical product management or project management experience.
  • Are familiar with media monitoring, SaaS, or similar industries.
  • Have knowledge of developer languages (React, Python, C, C#) and an understanding of APIs.
  • Have project management accreditation (PRINCE2, Agile, PMP) and/or Scrum Product Owner certification.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
