SW developer

The company Optum CE is looking for a highly motivated and experienced C++ software developer with good experience in developing applications for Windows.

In this role, you will be part of our development team, which already has several highly skilled developers with whom you will work with as a team. The team works according to the principle of a simplified special corporate Scrum, with great flexibility and freedom in terms of responsibility, where there is always room for compromise and your opinion will always be heard.

The team works in a positive spirit and is committed to successful results, and therefore we expect the same approach to work from you. You will start by taking part in a very exciting and ambitious project in the area of next-generation FE tools for geotechnology and structural engineering.

To be successful in this position, the following will be an advantage:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in software development in C++.
• Strong experience with Windows at the application level.
• Understanding of the modern approach to programming and the courage to write quality software code.
• A strong ability to read and understand other people's code.
• Interest in solving various kinds of problems both for the GUI and in the Backend.
• Ability to work and take responsibility for your code.
• Decency and respect for colleagues.
• Positive attitude.

Bonus benefits:

• Experience in 2D and/or 3D graphics.
• Knowledge such as OCC, VTK, and OpenGL is always welcome.
• Experience with Qt.
• Python scripting.
• Knowledge of physics and mathematics is considered an advantage.

Candidate Profile:

• You likely have experience as a software engineer at master's level or equivalent.
• Interest and experience in software development for geotechnical and concrete structural engineering and a desire to create user interfaces and work in the backend.
• You speak and write in Danish and English.
• As a person, you are calm and thorough in your approach to tasks and have an analytical and creative approach to work.
• You have good communication skills.
• You excel both by working independently and as part of a team.
• You look at solving complex problems optimistically, understanding the essence of what is happening and are driven by the desire to achieve success.

Optum CE develops fast, user-friendly software for design of Geotech and Concrete structures. The software is developed with focus on providing advanced FE analysis packages, but at the same time making the tools accessible for engineering practitioners including structural engineers, contractors and building companies.
