Here’s what the job entails

Your primary role will be to develop and integrate components in our system landscape. You will design systems and tools and close collaboration with the architect and the rest of the team.

Concretely, your areas of responsibility will include the following:

  • develop world-class software in an engaging and complex domain
  • participate in full product cycles, from inception to delivery and operation, using agile practices
  • work closely with the business to ensure outstanding solutions
  • nurture and extend a coherent application architecture
  • promote knowledge sharing and mentor other Software Developers

Danske Commodities employs over 60 motivated software developers, and you will join a team of six people working on developing and maintaining systems used by our global offices. We are always curious and eager to learn new technologies, practices and methodologies to incorporate into our software portfolio. Our way of working is informal and learning-based, so you will have plenty of changes to bring your qualifications into play and continuously add new skills.

We are looking for an experienced team player who loves diving into detail and takes a scientific approach. As our team handles a range of tasks, it is important that you can pitch in wherever needed and lead the way if you have got a great idea.

We also imagine that you:

  • have a relevant educational background in Computer Science or a similar field
  • have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar position, working with agile software development, preferably in a global environment
  • are proficient in either .NET, Java or similar
  • have a holistic approach to system design

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
