The position and your responsibilities

As Head of IT Operations, you will be overseeing our Copenhagen office and Danish product platform while collaborating closely with teams in Oslo and Tallinn. You will be managing the daily operations of our Copenhagen office and Danish product platform, and report primarily to our Chief Operating Officer in Copenhagen and secondarily to our Chief Technology Officer in Oslo.

You will work as part of the team you lead and are expected to be a knowledgeable leader. Leading a team responsible for maintaining and developing our office environments across the Nordics, you will also take charge as the contract owner and negotiator with our suppliers.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a local team of three and oversee a manager in Tallinn with an additional five members.
  • Manage a range of tasks from hosting and maintaining office domains to overseeing the Danish product platform’s security patching, load balancing, and scaling solutions.
  • Focus on automating processes and ensuring centralized server and application monitoring.

The department and team

The IT Operations department is a dynamic and collaborative environment where innovation and excellence flourish. The team manages IT infrastructure, including Office 365, Microsoft Intra, and Azure integrations, supporting 250 colleagues across Copenhagen, Aarhus, Oslo, Stockholm, and Tallinn. Responsibilities for the Danish product platform, shared with DevOps, involve cloud applications, VMs, and barebone installations. Tasks encompass security patching, load balancing, scaling, application deployment, SQL maintenance, and automation, with a mix of Linux and Windows servers.

We would like to hear from you if you…

  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience in leading and managing teams, preferably in a multi-location setup.
  • Have minimum 7 years of work experience. within the tech field
  • Have a relevant educational background in IT at a minimum bachelor’s level.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Are located in or around the Copenhagen area, as we cannot support relocation.
  • Are happy to work with both Microsoft Cloud solutions, Linux and Windows VMs.
  • Have experience with managing Microsoft licenses and have similar contract ownership experience.
  • Consider yourself a generalist with broad interests.
  • Can communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in one or more of the Nordic languages is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
  • Are able to travel approx. 15-20 days yearly visiting our other Nordic markets.
