Test Manager

As a Test Manager you will work with Cognizant’s customers to provide test automation solutions to various projects, will support creation customized test automation approaches as required and help increase test automation capabilities internally.

About the Team / Business Unit

Quality Engineering and Assurance practice is one of the largest practices in Cognizant and is responsible to engineer quality for Cognizant’s customers across industries. To build in the quality-oriented mindset, practices and solutions from the beginning of any project with the intent of building the right system for customers’ end users and in the right way; with Cognizant’s ‘right first time’ approach to the IT systems. QEA provides customers with the Testing, compliance, NFT and quality processes consulting with the aim of maximizing the return on investments with reducing the cost to quality. A technology driven department that partners with leading providers of IT tools and methodologies in Quality Engineering and Assurance space.

About You

You will work with various customers to provide test automation solutions for the applications ranging from home grown systems to product implementations, identify the test automation possibilities, evaluate tools base with customers and recommend a strategy most suitable to achieve customers’ goals to achieve quality. You will be working with the practice to increase the base, quality and skills of the resources in your team and department by identifying the training needs and coordinating, conducting them.

Your Key Result Areas

• At all times comply with the project standards on testing policies, criteria, strategy, and procedures.
• Facilitate, write and maintain the Master Test Plan.
• Identify the test levels and test types that require a test plan for both Functional and Non-functional Tests.
• Plan test, determine test data, and execute test.
• Responsible for communication and coordination with the Development/Operations Vendor in terms of progress, blocking defects, outstanding issues etc to be forwarded to KOMBIT.
• Planning with the Test Environment Manager and Test Data Engineer to ensure suitable Test Environment and Test Data Management Tools with a particular emphasis on compliance with General Data Protection Rules and other anonymisation requirements for test data.
• Establish traceability from requirements to tests.
• Communicate and secure the need for resources. Evaluate resource ability level.
• Secure Sign-Off on test scope and approach including estimates for test effort at hand.
• Facilitate and secure approval and Sign-Off on Test Completion Report.
• Facilitate, maintain, and follow up on Product Risk Analysis throughout the full lifecycle of any given test.
• Agree on scope and approach based on the Product Risk Analysis, and the nature of the Solution.
• Responsible for ensuring test effort for both Static and Dynamic Testing.
• Estimate and evaluate the test effort.
• Facilitate the provision of the Test Completion Report with mitigation plans related to omissions and errors/defects not corrected.

Requirements

• Thorough experience within Quality Engineering / Assurance with 6+ years of experience in the Test Automation.
• Good to have experience with gathering and understanding requirements and converting them to test scenarios/test cases
• Extensive Test Management experience using tools like Jira, TFS and Azure Cloud
• Drive the automation strategy, quality of deliverables and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Good understanding of testing methodologies (ISTQB, TMap, TPInext etc.)
• Strong Communication written and verbal, good Interpersonal skills.
• Must be fluent in English and Danish verbal and written communication skills
• Customer Relationship Management.

The Test Manager is expected to have the following Basic Certifications:

• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) (Minimum requirement),
• ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level - Test Manager (CTAL-TM) (Minimum requirement)
