Senior Software Designer, UX & Cloud

Are you driven by the challenge of creating user-focused solutions and managing complex software architecture? Do you have a passion for shaping the future of software development?

As a Senior Software Designer at DEIF, you will play a key role in developing DEIF’s displays and configuration tools. You will be involved in all stages, from idea generation to solution implementation.

In this role, you will serve as a Domain Architect, taking ownership of your department’s architecture. You will collaborate closely with other Domain Architects and System Architects across DEIF to ensure the delivery of user-friendly, high-quality solutions for our clients.

Your primary purpose as a Senior Software Designer will be to develop and optimise existing and future solutions. It is important that you thrive on taking responsibility and are motivated by setting the technical direction and ensuring that it is communicated throughout the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing and developing software applications for embedded systems and Windows environments
  • Working with programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, etc.
  • Utilising test automation tools such as Playwright, Vitest, and pytest to ensure efficient testing processes
  • Implementing cloud-based and Windows-based solutions
  • Working with technologies such as Vue.js 3 (including Vite, Pinia, Tailwind, Quasar, etc.) and Node.js
  • Developing solutions for both display systems and configuration tools
  • Implementing RESTful APIs
  • Conducting unit and system testing
  • Developing and maintaining software architecture
  • Collaborating with System Architects, Domain Architects, and developers across DEIF’s software organisation

You are expected to have solid experience in software or web development and have worked as a software developer, software engineer, or similar role. In this capacity, you should have gained hands-on experience with JavaScript and a comprehensive understanding of compatibility and performance optimisation.

Additionally, you should have experience working with Vue.js (or other modern frameworks) and Node.js, as well as a strong knowledge of building and integrating RESTful APIs.

You hold a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. As a person, you are curious, motivated by creating innovative, user-friendly solutions, and eager to learn and share knowledge. You possess key competencies such as strong stakeholder management, attention to detail, and the ability to drive change while balancing priorities.

Additionally, you need strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and easily.

DEIF offers a flexible work environment with the option for remote work. It fosters a value-driven workplace focused on sustainability and innovation. This position also provides significant personal and professional growth opportunities within a dynamic company.
