Your Role
We are looking for a Data Governance Consultant to join our organization. This role is critical in ensuring the effective management, integrity, security, and utilization of data across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, and tools to ensure compliance, quality, and security of data.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a data governance framework that ensures data accuracy, integrity, and security across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data management policies, standards, and best practices aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ensure that data usage is in line with corporate policies and external legal requirements.
- Manage data governance tools and technologies, including metadata management, data lineage, and data quality solutions.
Your Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, or data architecture roles.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and industry best practices.
- Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or other metadata management solutions.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience in ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strong skills in data quality management, including data cleansing, data lineage, and data profiling.
- Solid understanding of data security practices, including access controls, encryption, and audit logging.
- Excellent ability to work with large datasets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.
- Knowledge of database systems, data lakes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Analytics, Business, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
Your Security Experience
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
