This position is a unique chance to bring your skills into play in one of the key challenges facing the planet - addressing climate change by decarbonizing the maritime sector. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Python & AI developer to join our Engine Lifecycle Management. As a key member of our division, you will play a pivotal role in developing AI-powered applications and data analysis on the toolset to drive advancements in our marine engine systems, contributing directly to our mission of reducing carbon emissions in the maritime industry.
You will play an important role in:
- Designing and implementing innovative software solutions to enhance marine engine efficiency and sustainability.
- Develop proof of concepts and projects based on AI/ML, as well as integrating on existing applications.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams in engineering and R&D to understand requirements and achieve shared goals.
- Creating impactful data visualization tools to effectively communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
- Participating in dynamic design discussions and providing valuable input on integrating data analysis methodologies into engine development processes.
- Documenting code, processes, and analysis methodologies to ensure seamless knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
We imagine that you:
- You are a sharp and curious mind with a background in Python development—whether from data science, engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
- You are highly proficient in Python and comfortable working with Git, cloud platforms, databases, and tools for data visualization and preparation.
- You have hands-on experience with AI models, using them to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and building tools that leverage these models effectively.

You will join the Lifecycle Processes and Digital Applications department within the Engine Lifecycle Management functional area—a newly established team built from the ground up. Our mission is to drive and support the digital transformation of engine lifecycle activities through innovative tools, data-driven processes, and close collaboration across the value chain.
We are part of a unified Engineering Two-Stroke organization, with a clear ambition to serve as the crankshaft of the Everllence engine lifecycle—responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end processes that span the entire lifecycle of our 2-stroke engines.
Alongside our colleagues within the functional area, we ensure production process validation and quality in the supply chain, and safe and compliant market introduction of marine products through an efficient approval process.
